Birds of the Karo People

The Karo people keep chickens as "pets", more or less to farm them for food and trade. But in Indonesia, there are thousands of birds, one of the most concentrated areas of distinct species in the world. There are birds ranging from the non-passerine Cassowaries, brush turkeys, Maleos, Buttonqails, and Peacock-Pheasants to Passerine birds such as Bird of Paradise, Bulbuls, and the spectacular Bowerbirds.
